1.8t swap

i was looking at purchasing a mk2 jetta gli with a 16v and i was thinking about what i could do to the car to make it a total sleeper. to me the best swap/mod sounds like a 1.8t swap. i was just wondering if anyone has ever heard of doin a swap like this in a mk2. im thinking clean mk2 gli wide wheel stance euro bumpers and trim pieces with a 1.8t swap and fmic with some revo tuning and that would be basically my dream. but if anyone knows if this is possible and worth doing let me know. thanks

the 20v 1.8t swap into a mk2 has been done many times, however the 16v motor has alot of potential itself and if i were you i'd build that up and boost it instead, but thats just me.
